Stage 1 of 8
Days 1: Maun – Preparation and Anticipation
Begin at Grays Eden, taking in the anticipation of deserts, pans, and delta channels that lie ahead. Prepare your vehicle, gear, and mindset for an immersive journey through Botswana’s wildest regions.

Stage 2 of 8
Days 2–3: Makgadikgadi Pans – Salt Flats and Flamingos
Venture into the pans, camping in elevated rooftop tents that combine privacy, comfort, and incredible views. Observe wildlife such as meerkats, springbok, and seasonal flamingos, while enjoying the surreal silence of the vast white flats. Evenings are spent beneath a sky full of stars, feeling completely immersed in the wilderness.

Days 4–5: Nxai Pan – Savannahs and Zebras
Travel to Nxai Pan, with its endless plains and abundant wildlife. Campsites provide a cozy retreat after days exploring, elevated tents offering a sense of luxury amid remoteness. Observe elephants and zebra herds, and enjoy sunsets that stretch across the savannah in every direction.

Days 6–8: Chobe – River Adventures
Move east toward Chobe via Nata. Explore rivers and floodplains by day, returning to campsites for comfort and privacy. Spend one night at Chobe River Lodge, a perfect riverside haven. Elephant sightings, hippos, and diverse birdlife make this section an unforgettable wildlife experience.

Days 9–12: Linyanti & Savuti – Remote Wilderness
Explore the secluded regions of Linyanti and Savuti. Linyanti Tented Camp provides elevated comfort and luxury while surrounding camps immerse you in the bush. Safari drives reveal lions, elephants, and wild dogs in pristine landscapes. The wilderness feels endless and entirely yours.

Days 13–16: Khwai & Moremi – Delta Exploration
In Moremi and Khwai, follow delta channels and floodplains in rooftop tents that combine privacy and comfort. Elephant herds, lions, and birdlife abound, and every day offers new discoveries across this rich ecosystem.

Days 17–18: Okavango Delta – Private Mobile Camp
A private camp on Chifs Island, accessed by helicopter, provides total immersion. Glide through waterways in a mokoro, explore islands on foot, and experience complete tranquility in the delta before flying to your next lodge.

Days 19–20: Little Vumbura – Delta Luxury
The journey concludes at Little Vumbura, a secluded lodge deep in the Okavango Delta, where elevated suites offer panoramic views over winding channels and islands. Glide through waterways in a mokoro, spot elephants, hippos, and birdlife from your private deck, or take guided walking safaris to feel the delta under your feet. Every moment blends luxury, privacy, and immersion in the wilderness, making it a perfect finale to your Botswana adventure before flying back to Maun.
Before you book: Botswana in practice
- Drives on
- Left. Fully-equipped 4x4 with low range is mandatory, not advisory.
- Fuel inside parks
- None. Maun and Kasane are your two poles; Nata, Gweta and Rakops fill the gaps.
- Campsite booking
- Twelve months ahead for Moremi, Savuti and Third Bridge. There is no walk-up option.
- Delta flood peak
- July to August in the lower Delta — from rain that fell in Angola in January.
- Sensible minimum
- 10 nights, two vehicles if you are going deep. Botswana is the least forgiving country we work in.
